Beginner Tumbling Level 1
(this class and 1b are the same, two classes are offered due to a large amount of interest):
No experience required. Recommended for ages 3-6. Will build balance, strength, flexibility and coordination with proper technique and progressions. Block stands to work arm strength, splits, front rolls, tripods, lunge kick ups, bridges, jumps and overall basic beginning tumbling skill building.
Beginner Tumbling Level 2: 0-2 year experience required. Recommended for ages 6-11. Will build balance, strength, flexibility and coordination with proper technique and progressions to advance to next level. Block stands to work arm strength, splits, front rolls, tripods, lunge kick ups to handstands, bridges, jumps and overall basic beginning tumbling skill building. Will teach cartwheels, roundoffs and standing handstands.
Intermediate Tumbling Level 1: 1-3 years experience required. Age and entrance will be evaluated the first week of class by staff. Will build balance, strength, flexibility and coordination with proper technique and progressions to advance to next level. Block stands to work arm strength, splits, front rolls, tripods, lunge kick ups to handstands, bridges, jumps and overall basic intermediate tumbling skill building. Standing bridges will be taught as well as cartwheels, one arm cartwheels, roundoffs and standing handstands. Will begin working on handstand to bridge and bridge to standing. Begin handstand to one leg bridge, front and back walkovers, aerial prep (dive cartwheel), front handsprings and progression sequencing such as cartwheel front walkover.
Intermediate Tumbling Level 2: 2-4 years experience required. Must be able to hold a handstand for 3 seconds. Age and entrance will be evaluated the first week of class by staff. Will build balance, strength, flexibility and coordination with proper technique and progressions to advance to next level. Block stands to work arm strength, splits, front rolls, tripods, lunge kick ups to handstands, bridges, jumps and overall basic intermediate tumbling skill building. Standing bridges will be taught as well as cartwheels, one arm cartwheels, roundoffs and standing handstands. Will begin working on handstand to bridge and bridge to standing. Begin handstand to one leg bridge, front and back walkovers, aerial prep (dive cartwheel), front handsprings and progression sequencing such as cartwheel front walkover.
Intermediate Tumbling Level 3: 3-4+ years experience required. Age and entrance will be evaluated the first week of class by staff. Will build balance, strength, flexibility and coordination with proper technique and progressions to advance to next level. Block stands to work arm strength, splits, front rolls, tripods, lunge kick ups to handstands, bridges, jumps and overall basic intermediate tumbling skill building. Standing bridges will be taught as well as cartwheels, one arm cartwheels, roundoffs and standing handstands. Will begin working on handstand to bridge and bridge to standing. Begin handstand to one leg bridge, front and back walkovers, aerial prep (dive cartwheel), front handsprings and progression sequencing such as cartwheel front walkover, cartwheel back walkover, front arabians to prepare for handsprings.
Intermediate Tumbling Level 4 / Advanced Tumbling Level 1: Must be able to properly execute all skills listed in Intermediate Level 3. Will build balance, strength, flexibility and coordination with proper technique and progressions. Front handsprings, all walkovers and progression sequencing such as cartwheel front walkover, cartwheel back walkover, arabians (front and back), walking on hands, back chest rolls, rainbows, elbow stands and more.
Advanced Tumbling Level 2: Must be able to properly execute all skills listed in Advanced Level 1. Will build balance, strength, flexibility and coordination with proper technique and progressions. Will focus on back handsprings, roundoff back handsprings, front handsprings, front and back tucks, aerial front walkovers and aerial cartwheels.
